Okay,
we’ll admit it. It was the absolutely beautiful paint scheme
and meticulous attention to detail that made us stop in our tracks
when we first saw this Santa Cruz Nomad at a race. After our
superficial once-over, the real beauty of this rolling test lab
came in loud
and clear.
The bike was built by Mark Reynolds of Wicked Racin (web surfers,
note that they
leave the “g” off o racing) and while this nomad could win a blue
ribbon at any bike show, it is Mark’s Dualrailleur guide that deserves
to be getting the spotlight. Mark claims this is the only guide available that
provides precision of a single ring guide while allowing the rider to shift
between two front chain rings.
Yes, you big-drop, black-diamond trail stunt riders, your climb to the top
of the run just got a little sweeter. That’s because the Dualrailleur
gives you the benefit of a downhill guide and the ability to shift to the small
ring
for easier climbing. The guide is designed around Shimano XTFD-M760 front derailleur.
